Do you actually watch this show at all???
If you did then you would hear marcus say he will never walk but wants to go the right way by eviction as he believes thats the only way to go.
Also your opinion of him lying about wanting to go is wrong, I think what highlighted his desire to go was early hours this morning just after bea had lost the argument with him, when freddie came to sit by marcus, marcus could easily have left freddie have a go at her and watch as freddie hung himself by looking a complete opportunist revelling in her so called upset.
But marcus told him to go to bed so he didnt get seen in a negative light, I think that spoke volumes of his desire that he really does want to go.
He isnt lying

I saw it in a different way. He understands why Bea will be unpopular and he knew he'd gain popularity in the argument. He didn't want Freddie, who has a legitimate beef with Bea, to get involved . I don't think Marcus would mind going but think he'd rather stay against Freddie.

Nietzche said "there are no facts only perspectives" Here we have supporting evidence for that observation. Two people both saw exactly the same event. One says it shows Marcus really DOES want to go, the other says it shows Marcus really DOES want to stay.
I believe that each obserever sincerely believes their interpretation. Marcus will never tell us what was his actual motivtion because he is inscrutable. That is how he works his magic on the HMs, his toys whilst he is separated from his collection.
