I see people can see in their minds who they think will be the Final 4 of the Final 2 standing, but judging by last year, anything can happen.
Heres the breakdown of last year: In Week 1, it was obvious that the strong teeny vote put the 2 girlbands in the botom 2, which I think could have been the right decision. Up until Week 4, the teeny vote was working, but then in Week 4, Austin was elliminated. Now week 5 was the big one, Diana was given a Bye due to her throwat infection, which left a whole bunch of Diana to save votes left to spare, people would have thought it would have gone to the girls in her catogary, but it went in the opposite direction, with most of Dianas supporters voting for Daniel for a sympathy vote. Laura and Ruth ended up in the bottom 2, when IMO they had the 2 strongest voices. Ruth proved to do a brilliant version of the song (as she did in Week 2's bottom 2), and picked up loads more support. Week 6 was the first week where hardcore voting was put into place, the bad comments for Diana made everyone vote for her, I loved Diana but it was clear she had the sympathy vote at that time. But this was the end for Daniel, as Diana was getting the sympathy votes, Daniel's just faded into thin air because of the good comments he got, making it not much fun to save him. Week 7 was the first week where the teeny vote was affected, putting JLS into the botom 2 was a big shock to people. From then onwards, JLs supporters picked up the phone to make sure they got through. IMO overall, Ruth was the one person who had no groups of her fanbase voting for her, she had just the spare people watching the show without any faves vote. As she was the one to fluctuate, be in the bottom 2, then not, then again in the bottom 2 etc.... just like Chico was. So, its impossible to know who would win, at this point last year people thought Diana, Laura, Ausin and Rachel would be the final 4. So, what if Lloyd gets the teeny vote like Eoghan? What if the public cant stand Danyl or Lucie? Anything can happen! |

GirlBand and Bad Lashes got in bottom 2 because the public cannot relate. The boybands have an easier time because they can get support from female fans more easily. Also, neither GB or BL were strong as a group.
Scott was never going to win, and it was his tears in week 1 that saved him from elimination for two weeks. His departure was inevitable, and I think he must be one of the most forgettable in XF history. It happens every year, act's like Austin and Laura end up in the bottom 2 because either {a} they preform first, or early on, in the night - and history shows that if an act is first to preform, it's more likely they'll end up in bottom 2 because the public forget them. Or {b} the public assume they are safe. Also, a lot of people had acts like Laura or Austin as their second favorite, or third - but when voting, people don't vote for the second best acts (I think this is what happened with Ruth in quarter-final as well). Sadly, people do vote for the worst acts (Scott, Daniel) because of symphony and because they think it's fun - The John Sergeant Affect. Eoghan won the most shows - because people did like him. Why? I'll never know. But they did. But, he also won because NI was supporting him. I watch the show on UTV (Ulster Television), and before every live show the voice over man would ask people support him and to vote for him. I don't think the XF voting is so unpredictable, as in I'm very rarely surprised at the bottom 2. I'm more surprised at who isn't in the bottom 2. And I'm more surprised at who the judge eliminate out of the bottom 2 (Maria over TCS/Laura over Ruth). |

At the end of the day you must ALWAYS vote for your favourite otherwise the talented ones like laura and austin from last year will be voted out early. The public is to blame.

I agree with Eoghan too... he just had the whole of Ireland behind him... couldnt stand him. |

I think it's still predictable, there was just a lot of chopping and changing when it came to favourites last year which kept it more interesting.

I think it is very unpredictable right now. I think the public wil lose interest with Danyl. He's good but not that good. Lucie will get far.. and I would love for her to win it, but I just hope she does not end up like Cassie in series 1, A Perfect pitch voice.. but not enough support? No-one has struck me as much as Alexandra though.. I supported her and ONLY her from her first audition. There was something about her. Lucie is starting to give me that feeling.. we shall have to see what she does at the JH and Rachel is a dark horse I think.. like alexandra was

IMO Alexandra should of ****ed off at the begining and btw where did you get the idea Rachel would win last year?
![]() She was hated by alot of people.. Alexandra was too big headed! JLS have done better even Eoghan has too, im surprised Diana hasnt had any Songs yet! Danyl wont win btw I said this before like you did in the OP the faves never win, Im trying to think of an example but I can only think of Diana from last year and Freddie from BB10, So yeah it could go either way, For all we know Edward and John could win, or at least make it further than people on here want them to..like you said Ireland will vote for them like Eoghan, But Eoghan was brilliant ![]() |
