It seems like they've stuck to the original more then I thought they would (The bath scene and the girl floating were both in the original). The main difference apparently between this one and the old ones is that Freddy might not have originally killed any kids and comes back as a ghost for revenge. Which is an interesting take.

Hollywood and Micheal Bay will ***** it up though. There hasn't been a brilliant remake since 2004's Dawn of the Dead and Halloween was a bastardisation of the original. Friday the 13th was on par with the original series but then the originals were pretty sh*t as well.

I hope it's gonna be good as I like some of the new ideas in it but there's a LOT going against it.

This.

I loved the original one. Can't wait for the remake.

I couldn't stand it, they made too many bad changes to the character by trying to GIVE him a character. Pluz Rob Zombie's a hack of a director who should never be allowed near a camera ever.

Rod Zombie is a rubbish director and by unmasking Michael Myers they destroyed his power, in much the same way as they did with Hannibal Lecter when they pushed Harris to write about his origins. Always a mistake to dismantle the beast too much. The unknown is far scarier.

Hmmm not sure, worth a look and i hope they make it haunting.. Like the school bit when she see's her friend in a body bag, chilling..

Two films i hope they never remake, Termenator and Total Recall.. The originals can never be beaten!

The ANOES films have always been favourite films of mine, I grew up watching them and have always loved them. So when I heard of the remake I was pretty skeptical (especially considering how much I disliked the Halloween and Friday the 13th remakes), but this actually looks pretty intriguing. I just hope it wont be a disappointment. However I'm really not sure about this new guy playing Freddy, I can't really imagine anyone other than Robert Englund playing Freddy, so that leads me back to thinking I wont like it. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'll just go by my own experience and avoid this movie. Horror remakes have been invariably poor ever since the Ring started off the trend.
