Yeah, the audience members can ask some very irrelevant questions and some of them are just desperately looking for applause. You also get some zelebrities or hack columnists (Melanie Phillips springs to mind) on the panel that contribute very little. The mistake a lot of people make regarding the BNP is in assume a self-satisfied superiority to them. Treating them like a comical lunatic fringe party in when in fact some of their lies are very malicious and many of their racist platitudes have convinced a lot of people. But that isn't to say that there aren't plenty of people out there with sufficient knowledge of the party's origins and of race relations in the UK to take Griffin on.

I actually think this is long overdue.

Yeah it will be interesting. I know what you mean about the whole applause thing. I was watching the big questions when two members of the BNP were on. There was just audience members chattering on about being British ect and getting massive applauses and nobody actually listening to what the BNP was saying. They tried to make them look foolish but kept going way off topic.
