You crack them into a special pan thing (a poached egg maker):



The boiling water underneath cooks it, takes about 5-10 mins. Has a soft yolk, basically a fried egg without the frying and grease.

or straight into boiling water for about 2 minutes It just doesn't have as pretty a shape
