Yeah, IMO it's one of the best to go into. You get great qualifications from it and get a really good, well-payed job once you come out of the army.

And mechanics is always something i've really been interested in! The only one thignthat could ever stop me getting in the army is failing the medical because of my stupid asthma *touches wood*

I was looking at the Para's and thinking that looked and seemed cool, but the only draw back is the fact that your fitness levels have to be sky high. (hahaha, get it)

The i got looking into it and theres things like Infantry IT Specialist or a Recce Soldier which really interest me also. But i like all the Infantry roles its just a case of what attributes you possess which will help that certain field.

I also had worries about bullying and things like that but i was assured this wasn't an issue anymore and it isn't tolorated.Theres alot of helplines and commandors that you can turn too, which is re-assuring.

Plus the army actually allow you time off to persue a sport, which i think is wicked because i love sports. Plus its minimal hours monday - friday and its decent pay.

If i was scared about the prospect of losing my life, i wouldn't join but in taking all these risks, theres so much to be gained and im really looking forward to it.

Paras pfft - they open your head up and stick and egg whisk in for you to be able to do that.

You are far to talented to consider a foot slogging role within the army - there are loads of career opportunities that will allow you to exercise your brain! Have you looked on the army careers website - it is pretty cool and you can email questions to them as well

Yeah and if there is a sport your already good at or interested in then they will really help you to pursue it, infact they really like people who already do sports before joining.

I agree, there is more to get out of the army than sore feet! And don't forget the other services too. They are worth looking at!

Good luck with what you decide to do.
