She's a good judge but she's not that great a mentor. In season four she was alright, but last year she was terrible, and as much as I didn't really like Rachel, she really gave her some bad choices, along with Ruth. Everyone seems to bum Ruth, but there were ALOT of weeks that she could (and should) have done better than she done. Dannii actually had an act in the bottom two every week but the first, in season five.
This year she was worse, ruined both Lucie and Rachel from the get go, and then ruined Stacey by trying to turn her into a mini Leona (I'm no fan of Stacey but even I saw that the songs she had been given didn't suit her).

Saying that she's my favourite judge.
