A lot of older members tend to use their post count and join date as a way of feeling superior. They are no better - with their self-righteous attitude.
Why is it when a newbie confronts someone with say, 10k posts, they are often thrown the dismissive "who the feck are you?!" response? A prime example I've seen on more than enough occasions.
