Stephen is so intense when he talks about things he feels knowledgable about isn't he?

He's quite intimidating - I still like him though.

He also looks ridiculous in his costume

Yea, Steve is, he uses a lot of hand gestures too. I wouldn't like to argue with him. He is like Vinny I think, in the way that they are movie bad guys, so they seem a bit like their film characters.
