If i voted, which i don't, on a big brother contestant i have no influence on their career once they leave the confines of the big brother house. I have no self interest in their career, I can't make money from there future career, I am not offering them a record contract.

I'm sorry to compare a viewer with an xfactor judge is ridiculous, maybe that is how it is "packaged" on xfactor i don't know.

The public have as much say in who wins the X factor as they do in big brother. Some from BB end up back on the screens as do X factor winners, some don't.
