Arsenal will wait until the summer to make their move for French forward Loic Remy.
The Gunners have been linked with a string of strikers during the January transfer window, but Arsenal scout and former midfielder Gilles Grimandi suggested the club would wait until the summer before making their move to bolster the forward line.
Nice striker Remy appears to be the new number one target at the Emirates, and Grimandi admitted that the 23-year-old striker was being monitored by the north London club.
“We know the potential of Remy. He has one of the greatest potentials in France and perhaps even in Europe over the next five years,” said the Frenchman, who is currently the Gunners’ chief scout in his homeland.
“He has a physical standard that is outside the usual, but we are looking for a player who will enhance our strength very quickly,” Grimandi continued telling Europe 1 radio station.
