And yeah, Gaga didn't really create this weird fashion. A lot of designers were creating it years before music brought it into the mainstream.
But she still started wearing weird outfits after Lady Gaga who has basically dressed like that since well...since we knew her. Lady Gaga is more of a fashion icon than Rihanna. To me it's pure copying as Rihanna may have thought wearing weird clothing is popular. It is. But not on her.

I didn't say Lady Gaga created the weird fashion, I'm saying she was probably one of the first to use it. I mean, where did you ever see someone wearing a crab suit ? A bubbly suit ? A Kermit the Frog dress ?

Exactly, which is she's often credited as wearing weird fashion. Rihanna manages to look a lot more sassy and classy in what she wears - she made about 5 end of year best dressed lists last year.

You only have to look at this to know Rihanna is better at having the edge because she doesn't go some extreme:

And back in summer 2008, Gaga was much more on the down-low. That's why I liked her. She was different in her bubbled dresses and wigs...then she started wearing gimp masks, frog outfits and well, hardly anything and she changed.

I don't think Lady Gaga does wear these outfits to be somehow classy. She does it to be shocking and controversial, which is working. I'm not an expert in fashion, don't get me wrong, but to me, Lady Gaga is in another league who's started a new fashion trend.
