after watching the weather last night < i was exspecting to wake up to a mad world < but all seems quiet and things seem uneffected. just woundering has anyone been hit hard and how bad is the damage or are the weather people acxting normal and getting it totaly wrong as usal ?

stacey < the joe sends you a make belive unbrella lol how are you girl ? hope not to wet. my advice < stay intoday and dont even attempt to go out <

what is this (guessing game)

its on its way,

there was a letter in the post,

when is it arriving,

it will be with us when doing our toast.

a violent horrible thing,

backed up by a force,

how can i explain its strength,

well it can get higher in power then 200 horse.

where ever it goes,

it will bring down all that surround,

it can lift up anything,

even the ground.

if you are injured or in pain,

it wont even stop,

dose it care about the law,

in the same boat is every cop.

when its finished,

our streets will probably be thriving,

but unlike the fish a few decades back,

this time the weather people were driving.

Hi Joe

How can I forget the storm and Black Monday in 87.
I remember that morning (both) very well.

We will ever remember Fish = 87 Storm. I kind of sorry for him ,,, a bit,,,.

Fish made no mistake

a woman wrote to him to ask if a Hurricane was on its way and he said no it was not. This is correct as we do not get Hurricanes in the UK.

What he failed to add was that Hurricane force winds were expected.

I was at a fancy dress party from 7pm-12 30am last night, was it at that time? Because we were all in a party hall and didnt hear much.

And teh Storm of 87, my parents go on about it sometimes, because it was the months or montha fter they got married and they just bought a house and they remember looking outside the window and seeing the strength of what was going on, and my Dad remembers teh weather person saying there was going to be no big storm the night before... and how wrong it was!

I could not remember Fish's exact words so I cheked with youtube.
He said "Weather will become very windy, but most of the strong winds will be down over Spain and across into France"

Then at least 18 people died in England and lots of people blamed for Met Office for no warning of the storm.

A paper reported;
Fish admits wearily that he will never escape the story. "I think I will have to engraved on my tombstone."

Correct

The MO thought the depression would track lower but it did not. Forecasts are forecast and not facts.

He was correct that a hurricane did not happen.

Fancy dress party. what did you wear? Did you have a nice time?

Weather was fine. The reason we were talking about 87 storm was because of Joe's poem. He mentioned about Fish. Fish = 87 Storm you see.

I do not blame your parents for on and on about them.
87 is unforgettable year for them, marriage and the storm.
