That's another trend I'm not really a fan of. Black comedians always talk about being black. Welsh comedians always talk about Wayals. Scottish comedians always talk about being Scuttish. I know it's what your good at but christ, try spreading your wings.

But the earlier stuff had a weight of intellect behind it. There was a beautiful cohesion to what he was trying to proclaim. I love it so much and can watch it endlessly. Actually might watch it online now and post some clips!

of course its applicable, a galaxy is only made up of so many things
the more the complex the higher the number of different possible universes
and it the are more universes than that number then universe are going to start repeating themselves

His a genius. He starts with a single thought and when your done laughing his completed a two hour set all from nowhere. It's a joy to watch him improvise.

And his stuff on 24 is fantastic too.

You were talking about galaxies repeating themselves. Not universes. Two very different things. Have you any idea what you are actually talking about? And that post is worded so badly I don't even know where to tackle it. But the universe is made up of a stupidly impossible number of things that can create in a stupidly impossible number of combinations, and we are dealing with a very, very finite amount of galaxies. Not an infinite number like you declared from out of nowhere. Therefore it's completely logical that each galaxy be completely different from the last.

sorry but it is 2 oclock in the morning, i meant galaxies throughout the post

whos to say there arent an infinite amount of galaxies the universe is constantly expanding and who is also to say that there arent an infinity number of universes

So why did you post in the first place if you agree with that principle?

assumptionassumptionassumptionassumption

For the record, all the universe expanding means is what currently exists in it is getting further away, like stretching an elastic band. It plays no role in the formation of extra galaxies.

I'm not doubting that other universes could exist [multiverse] - they probably do. But that has no place in this discussion because we don't have a hope of understanding or contemplating a thing outside our own universe.

Don't be a fucking dolt. If it's international conglamorate bodies of highly respected scientists vs. ILoveDC, I think I know who I'm siding with.

For a start, this particular universe is not infinite. So how could an infinite number of galaxies even fit in it? Total improbability.

It pays to have a bit of prior basic astronomy knowledge in discussions like these.

how do you know its not infinite? have scientist found the edge? no i think not
and before you say well that impossible
well its also seemingly impossible that we are even here

The Big Bang model of the universe is finite. Common sense. You said it yourself, the universe is expanding. It started from nothing and it blew out and is still in the process of blowing out. Scientists agree that this particular universe is finite. If we assume that it's age is somewhere within the region of thirteen billion years then it is 93 billion light years in diameter, 8.80 × 1026 to the power of 26 in meters. That's a pretty huge number, but it's still finite and it cannot possibly hold an infinite amount of galaxies. Galaxies are formed from gas and dark matter condensing. If an infinite number existed the universe that we live in would quiet litteraly kick itself in the balls, swallow itself up, throw itself up, and dissolve into fucking sweet oblivion.
