I'm against joke threads being closed completely, it doesn't really make sense when threads that are made for arguments are left untouched. Which one is more likely to put off potential members?

Some people do have a dark sense of humour, me included. Nobody really likes Josef Frtizl, people are just taking the p*ss out of a sick bastard it's not offensive, howver some of the stuff that the members seriously sh*t out of their mouths is much worse. Take Banarama's posts from the thread about the Soldier being sent to prison. He basically stated that any soldier with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a coward and that they should be shot for it which is a whole lot more offensive then Josef Fritzl jokes yet even when I complained (I don't like complaining about opinions but that really was sickening or and ignorant and I don't even get offended easily) nothing was actually done about it.

Joke threads are a lot more welcoming then ignorance and intolerence.

See...people thinking they know it all.

You dont know what people are punished for, just assume that because they dont whinge on about it, nothing has been done.

In actual fact, the user in question recieved an infraction for that.

No problem. Was probably a little sharp with you there...

Just sick of people complaining that nothing is done about it when other members do something wrong, when they dont actually know...seems to have become the norm to make a thread moaning about it if you get an infraction these days, and anyone who doesnt do that...gets away with everything in everyones eyes...

I can see your point, I remember back in the old forum when you used to be able to see warnings under the avatar so you always knew if the problem was dealt with, it would save a lot of bother if you could see the number of infractions underneath the avatar in a similar fashion really although it's probably not possible.
