I don't think I'm any sort of shining example but I take some of your points WOMBAI.
If the statistic is that cancer will directly impact on 1 in 3 during their lives then blokes have to realise that isn't 1 in 3 women but people! I further realise that many blokes have a problem with the idea of having to drop their trousers and allow a stranger to inspect.
As you/I have mentioned, it's better that than end up dead.
