It just shows they only do it when they think they wont get caught, or looked down on for it

That was really nice of that girl, there was this lovely girl I knew who my best friends didn't like very much and couldn't understand why I liked her so much, but it was because she was one of the few people who stuck up for me [or other people if they needed it] in situations like that. It's people like them that make me try and always help someone in a situation like that if I can even it potentially risks getting abuse myself.

yeah people like that are great. I wish more people were like that. Im not even like that. I know if i stuck up for him it would make it worse for both of us really. It's so crap when you hear people taking the piss near him. I wish I could say so much to them but you just cant!

Well I'm sure your friend knows you're there for him if he needs you. Very often it's easier for people from the outside looking in to say something because they don't have much to loose.
