No its not an end to the issue as there is an ongoing inquiry as to whether this money has to be handed back.

If a man who wants to be chancellor and in control of the nation's finances is willing to keep money from a convicted fraudster that says a lot about the man and his party. If the Lib Dems tell people they are an honest party then this is a lie.
