I think the cogs could represent time; time as in: time running out, time's gone fast, go back in time to an older series or maybe even time of the series is near.

The eye design has never had anything to do with the what happens in the show, apart from: series 1 - overall theme of Big Brother, series 5 - evil and 7 - same colour as golden ticket promotion.

Well yeah, it makes sence an persons finger print and their culture is what makes them. Hence all the french, greek, american etc tasks

The BB8 was the numbers which appeared during the opening titles, and the time travel task.

That's not what the eye was designed for though, it's a coincidence. In that case you could twist the fingerprint to fit any possible meaning you wanted.

The BB10 eye had nothing whatsoever to do with the series.

I think the idea of 3D slick 'cogs' graphics will work well as a teaser, and remember the teasers aren't always exactly representative of the 2D Eatock eye itself. They get the idea of 'time' across easily, and there are probably more ways in which this could be shown through the rest of the theme

When have they ever not been?

The CBB7 Flame Teasers were to do with the eye.
The BB8 Multi Coloured Flashes were to do with the eye.
The BB9 Shattered Teasers were to do with the eye.
The BB10 3D Things flying about was the eye.
The BB7 Gold Swirl Teasers were the eye design.
And so on.

You missed my point,
What i meant was that the teasers don't always look exactly like the 2D Eatock design. i.e:

BB10 teaser was a 3D graphic of the eye smothered in random technical print, very futuristic looking, and different to the very simplistic fingerprint 2D design.

BB9:There was shattered glass and everything in the teaser but it didn't show the eye in it's true form.

BB8: The teaser showed a glossy 3D eye made of different blocks slotting together and turning like a lock, which didn't actually relate much to the end 'tv test card' idea, did it?

You've just said that the teasers 'were about' the eye' ??
My point was just that the teasers are usually a bigged-up more interactive version of the 2D Eatock design aimed to drum up excitement. So the supposed 3D cogs teaser might not be all that similar to the final eye.

Anyone have any ideas how they could integrate a cog into an eye design creatively?

Before I start, I’m not an insider. I just have contacts.

May launch is happening, but I stress it isn’t 30th! 23rd . (Note Embarrassing Bodies and Facejacker both finish airing on 21st May).

The campaign is going to be the same as usual but with a new part of the campaign (think BB5/7), check Davina’s Twitter- a few hints on a pic there . Very nostalgic. The campaign is going to be short and snappy this time to gain instant hype instead of being drawn out and hype tailing off. First adverts will air in first week of May.
