I did in the first year, from a 23 old southerner, who was probably an alcoholic, but the class teamed up against him, because he was such a knob

Not always. It is amazing just how many morons attend college and end up graduating with worthless degrees. This is why there is so much academic inflation and is the reason why the Masters Degree has replaced the Bachelors Degree.

The vast majority of college students I've met were more interested in drinking than studying.

Wow, do you like...sterotype people for a living, because, I have to be honest, you are really, really good at it, maybe you should consider making a career out of it or something?

I'd be stereotyping if I made some blanket generalization that all students are that way. I, however, did not. Key phrases include the following: "how many students are" and "the vast majority of students I've met." The former establishes that a considerable amount of students aren't particularly notable in their intelligence. The latter establishes that in my own experience, I have met more students interested in partying and drinking. Neither one is a generalization.

Your response would make sense if I said the following: "College students are a bunch of morons who only care about drinking and partying."

Still, it seems to be a general opinon that this is what students do, and its annoying, because some of us actually study our asses off

No, there is no "still." It isn't what I said, nor is it what I believe.

I suppose it depends on what course you are on

I think all colleges should be like this
