Default Things can only get better? 13 years on.

Hi,
I am making currently writing a article/blog on the influence New Labour had on the UK; both culturally and politically.

I want to try and include alot of peoples views on what Labour did... and didn't do. Do you think did 'only get better'? Or was it just the same old politics but with a new attempt at media spin?

Thanks,
Sam (old banned member; not some political activist!)

Good points, but originally the torries supported the Iraq war aswell, a fact forgotten at times.

I think it may be an exageration to call them 'corrupt to the core' aswell, and 'the worst ever power', I have seen in my lifetime regimes that prove that claim wrong. Fact

But again I don't thing things did get much better, or at least from what I have read. Yes, social improvements were made but (argue me wrong) I feel this was at the expense of Britains future. I feel that Labour were giving out so much, that really that had to be stealing from somewhere... and that is where the deficit came from.

I just don't think they had the spend/earn balance right.

Ask anyone with a pension, Good old Gordon raided the pension pots didnt he, then when he couldnt really squeeze any more he started borrowing, then borrowing more.

and selling gold... damn I should be neutral!

I just think that whole song defines new labour... so many promises, but as with nearly everything in politics, so many lies.
