Not really. I mean you can, but you are just splitting hairs. Endemol almost never embargo something until, say, 2 in the afternoon because then none of the papers can print the news item that day.

They do it every day during the show actually. The running order for the highlights show is generally embargoed until 6PM I think it is. Same if they have added a show to the schedule. They do it pre-launch also with names of contestants.

Great, but we are talking about the eye. Obviously the highlights show is different because the full transcript of it is not going to end up in the fucking Sun so people don't have to watch it.

I remember for BB8 the correct details of the HM's surfaced on the internet around 6pm on launch night. The eye is generally released around 12.00 am though.

Yeah and more to the point I remember it ruined the launch. Not because the launch was spoiled, but because the spoil itself was so bad.

At least with a proper unspoiled launch the sheer dissapointment of a male devoid house would have settled in over the course of two hours, rather than two minutes.

I was talking about embargoes and the fact that they release them with a time restriction as well as a date restriction. Channel 4 press office do regularly release them with timings throughout the day!

Yes, a later time is put on them now and some critical info is restricted to specific outlets only!
