That's the only reason why. She was marketed as the new 'diva'. Mariah/Whitney/Christina/Kelly C/Beyonce were all on hiatus at the time iirc so they took that opportunity to promote her. Some might argue she was overexposed [I'd certainly say she was, I've only really started to like her since Echo]

Diana however, has the issue of getting lost in the barrage of 'unique'/'quirky' females around atm, like Ellie Goulding, Florence + The Machine, Taylor Swift, Marina & The Diamonds, Ke$ha etc.

Plus she hasn't really had THAT much promotion, compared to JLS/Cheryl/Leona/Alex who all got X-Factor performances which has proven to boost sales, and their albums were all released later in the year [when albums tend to sell the most due to XF-promotion/Xmas]. I'd assume that Diana will be given an XF performance with the third single, and therefore album sales should soar a bit then.
