What would of happened if the 'meal' had been a gay and straight man?

What would have happened if the meal had of been between a straight man and gay man who had been put in the same situation?
It could have gone very wrong with the straight man getting quite angry about being put in that situation and feeling very embarassed about how his family and friends perceived him.
May well have been more interesting
