Wouldn't it be awesome tho, if he really *did* grow Steve's legs back?

As a matter of fact, I think the vast majority of posts I have made on this forum have been made within a few hours or during said smoking.

Any misconceptions are long standing myths stemming from an ill fated American government experiment where they gave so much dope smoke to Monkeys via facemasks that the Monkeys brain cells died off as a result of oxygen deprivation.
I used to be exactly the same until my brother came down with something pretty horrific after a couple of weeks in the 'Dam. That was about 15 years ago and it still impacts his daily life to this day. It's easy to say "it won't happen to me" because experts say things that concur with my standpoint but until you see it first hand you can't comprehend the horror it induces. You simply can't afford to risk your sanity over looking cool to your mates. To be on the safe side I quit too. For me it involved a complete lifestyle change and a new set of peers. I don't miss it now.

I don't smoke to look cool in front of my mates. Don't be riddiculous.

I sympathise with your view but your brother litteraly is a rare exception. I'm not going to stop smoking weed because I could come down with something horrific. Just like I'm not giving up driving because people crash. Just like I'm not giving up supermarket food because I could have a fatal reaction to a chemical in the packaging. Just like I'm not selling my dog because he could rip my testicles off with his teeth in the middle of the night.

You could use your argument for so many things it's insane. A friend of my dads went insane from drinking. He must have had an underlying disorder or something but one night he drank not too much but not too little and the guy just snapped. Insulted all the guests, ripped his shirt off, started reminding my dad of strange stories and events they shared but that in reality never happened.

But it's riddicuous of me or anyone else to stop drinking because of that.

The world you are putting foward is one that has padded walls, cotton floors, very few recreational activities, and people who live a whole lot longer with a whole lot less to live for.

You were absoloutely right to quit though, considering the blood relation/genetics and all that. Smart move.

To be Frank mate, I think its pretty harmless, to some it will be a mild annoyance, each to their own I suppose so long as the hate doesnt get out of hand. If people do let it get to them, thats their problem.

Then why do you do it?

Hey man I'm not preaching. It makes no diff to me what you do. All I'm saying is I used to be exactly the same and was fine with it too. One day though when you're ready you'll quit too (I'm presuming you don't see yourself as one of those sad old wasters that still smokes weed). And once it's fully out of your system the mist will lift and you life will change for the better no matter how peachy you think it is right now.

Oh and as for living in a cotton wool world? I meet dangerhead on everyday at silly speeds but have luxury of sharpness of mind to deal with it in a split second.

Roll a fat one on me.
Peace out.

It's a shame that those tip top, sober braincells of yours could not respond to all my point destroying comments I made in the post you quoted. I really hope you shut off the computer. I had dis mate who had an electric shock, innit, so to be on the safe side I'm typing myself with rubber gloves.

You are such a cliche. I'm so tired of hearing of you and your ilk. 'I made the right choice and stopped, and some day you will too, and you will be super and sober JUST LIKE ME!'.

Why don't you treat Alcohol the same way? Is that also a triviality you grow out of? Are all adult drinkers sad old wasters? No? Why?

You are basically tarring all weed smokers with the same brush. You are arguing based on nothing but your own ancedotal evidence. There's ... there's nothing too it. I can't even argue back the riddiculous points you are putting foward.

And why do I smoke weed? Because I enjoy the state of mind and it's the one drug that has brought me nothing but positives in the past four or five years. My family has a history of alcoholism and I were a right little bugger when I was a boozer.

But hey I grew out of Alcohol and now I have the foresight to be a preachy, patronizing ol' asshole to others who drink responsibly and still have a healthy relationship with the drug.

I'm just like you.

Enjoy.

Dave said "I'm Huffing and puffing the word of god" when asked what he was doing.

I think that while he reads he over breathes to the point of Hyperventilation. That could bring a sort of euphoria / drunkenness. Either way he claimed he could cure cancer just by 'rubbing away' the tumors. If you don't believe him he said he had it on video ( lol ... beee tah Max ). This was enough for me to hate him. To make a claim like this to people at the lowest and most vulnerable and possibly imply that they don't need fancy science with it's chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery. Nah let a dude called Dave huff and puff, then 'rub' your malignant cancer away. TWAT.

Ah, I see... Well as a regular smoker of the stuff you are bound to be biased are you not? I completely disagree & think excessive use DOES damage you & will harm you far more than normal tobacco...

Misconceptions as you call them are not myths, you simply don't believe them or don't want to believe them...

Here are a list of some of the side effects which are proven when smoking excessive amounts of cannabis:

Enhanced cancer risk
Decrease in testosterone levels and lower sperm counts for men
Increase in testosterone levels for women and increased risk of infertility
Diminished or extinguished sexual pleasure
Psychological dependence requiring more of the drug to get the same effect
Sleepiness
Difficulty keeping track of time, impaired or reduced short-term memory
Reduced ability to perform tasks requiring concentration and coordination,
such as driving a car
Increased heart rate
Potential cardiac dangers for those with preexisting heart disease
Bloodshot eyes
Dry mouth and throat
Decreased social inhibitions
Paranoia, hallucinations
Impaired or reduced short-term memory
Impaired or reduced comprehension
Altered motivation and cognition, making the acquisition of new information difficult
Paranoia
Psychological dependence
Impairments in learning and memory, perception, and judgment - difficulty
speaking, listening effectively, thinking, retaining knowledge, problem solving,
and forming concepts
Intense anxiety or panic attacks

But hey, it's up to you what you do with your body, just don't be so ignorant of the true dangers it poses...
