Ben and Mario have fallen out this afternoon, much to the shock of the soon-to-be 'stand-up comedian'.

Sitting in the snug, Mario jokingly asked Ben that if he had to pick new housemates during his stand-up routine he should choose "a sexy gay guy", to which Ben replied: "Well that would ruin my career in America," - a joke on the country's Republican party's beliefs.

Mario retorted: "You don't have much of a career in the UK," which surprised Ben.

As Ben approached Mario after their lunch about the exchange, Mario was reluctant to talk to the writer/ broadcaster.

"Why are you apologising to me for revealing your character to me?" he said. "You basically revealed your inner character. Now I know what your game is and how you behave the way you do in here... I've sussed you out."

An astounded Ben discussed the problem with Nathan, David, Caoimhe, Shabby and John James separately throughout the course of the day.

Nathan remarked: "He thinks you want a career off of it," to which Ben replied: "If anything this will hinder my career, I'm in here for the experience."

Ben compared the situation to Shabby's attraction to Caoimhe, as he is unable to return Mario's feelings for him. He then went to Caoimhe for advice.

"He's feeling bad that he flirts with you and now he's kicking himself," she said. "He'll come back running to you, don't go after him - you have to concentrate on this task. Put it out of your head, that's what I do, let it cool down."

"I think a lot of it is because he's trying to redefine his sexuality, he probably thinks there's areas you sway that way and you're running away from it," added David.

John James later agreed that Mario was annoyed Ben had ambitions beyond the house.

"He thinks everyone should be here completely for the experience, not to get anything out there," he said.
