The war criminals were the IRA cowards who blew up innocent people - people that Steve was under orders to protect. Or are you suggesting perhaps that we do away with our armed forces altogether, so that we are left undefended against our enemies?

I wouldnt give the IRA/PIRA/CIRA/INLA the honour of calling them war criminals, it wasnt a war, they were simply criminals using terrorism to attempt to achieve their aims

Any sympathies for him - have a lot to do with how he acquired those injuries - whilst doing a dangerous job! Without guys like him prepared to do the job - would have a hugh impact on the rest of us! People respect him and rightly so! He has as much right to be there as anyone!

I'd think exactly the same, that he a nice guy but really boring.

You shouldn't patronize people with disabilities and let it cloud your opinion of someone.. Positive discrimination is still discrimination.
