So this is frustrating him and he bottles up this emotion which he ends up taking out on Josie.

my first thought is JJ does fancy Josie. She doesn't even like him, let alone fancy him and has been using him since the first argument they had. She only cares about herself.

second thought is that Josie is the cause of most of their rows. She is a sneaky bitch and has got JJ wrapped around her finger. Pussy whipped he is.
