Nah, he was not emotionally manipulated. She was never even taking a stance of 'forgiving or not forgiving' after all.
She just moved him along and mostly so she can get back to whatever she was doing without his problems.

I don't really care for her much. She is obtrusive then flippant about it and while he is far too sensitive it wouldn't hurt her to be a little more sensitive to those around her.
She is not quite 'blustering and stomping' but close enough to become a little too much for even moderate people. JJ just happens to be an overly-sensitive whinger who makes it worse being in love with her.
