Sunshine and Mario were friends (a man and a woman!) but did Mario sob his heart out in the DR when they had a disagreement? NO. Did Mario say he wanted to leave because Sunshine wasn't there? NO.

Men and women can be just friends but they don't say they need them more than anyone on the planet unless there is more to it, like JJ has said about Josie.
