I had an idea that it would be cool to show them at home for an episode/series or whatever, so that could be an idea? Meh I don't know.

As I said in my post (it got lost at the bottom of the last page, I hate it when that happens) Kerry Katona is meant to be in talks for series 4

I like the idea of them being at home, could be the new Royle Family

I am thinking the ending tied up things was because it was the last episode written by Derren Litten, and he wrote it so that ITV could decide if they wanted a new seires or to axe it

I think going back to half hour episodes might be better

Ah good, I can see her playing a good part in it actually. I do hope it returns because I think it can last for another series at least, but as you said maybe a cast shake-up is needed.

Oh, and I think I preferred the hour long episodes more, they just seemed to work better.

The storylines were sillier this seires, they could do the same amount of time, but with there being more episodes

I think Solana may be shut down if it comes back, since someone died there xD

I think the quality was better when it was half an hour but it was way too short. An hour is good when they can fill it properly, but if its a rubbish episode it can feel a bit drawn out. Maybe they'd be best with 2 half hour episodes back to back rather than a full hour. It does definitely need to go back to being realistic though, thats why it got a strong following- for the 'normal' humour, not Madge getting dreadlocks and going trampolining. At first you could recognise other people in the characters but now, whilst you still can, its not the same. That was the downfall of Two Pints as well when that turned ridiculous.

The Sun continues to shine on ITV's hit Spanish sitcom Benidorm


After a hugely popular third series in which the show was successfully extended to one hour episodes, ITV1 is delighted to announce that our favourite holidaymakers will be returning later this year for a special and a fourth series to follow in 2011.

Award-winning creator and writer, Derren Litten will once again bring alive the Brits abroad with his healthy mix of loud characterisations, cleverly observed humour and hilarious storylines. Regularly attracting 6 million viewers and with a loyal fan base, the show has to date won a National TV Award for Best Comedy on TV and been nominated for both a BAFTA and Comedy Award.

Alongside the regulars, the fourth series will also see new characters and in true Benidorm tradition a variety of hilarious guest stars.

Michaela Hennessy-Vass, ITV’s Commissioning Editor of Comedy says: “With impressive ratings and a great solid fan base that keeps building, ITV is thrilled to commission a fourth series of Benidorm along with a special to air later this year. Viewers will get to meet a whole host of new over the top characters alongside our regulars”

Sophie Clarke-Jervoise, Executive Producer says: “We're delighted that Benidorm will be returning for a fourth series and that our cast of holiday makers will once again be given an opportunity to top up their tans.
