Rachel's odds are shortening, Dave and John's are going up, looks like Rachel is up for the chop. However, Dave's online voting has increased, John's remained the same and Rachel's has fallen, so theres hope yet for her. Rachel 1/3 51% John 16/5 28% Dave 8/1 21% Bobe hope. No hope. And Steve said envelope hehe

Op I am more liable to question whether you are more racist than Rachel ever could be. What I saw from her expressing was her wish to have 2 people who just happened to be black and that she knew them the audition process. We all know she has a loud voice especially when she's excitable, but like all of them she was expressing her preferrence. From the what I remember it would seem she was in the group with Jo and she met Joel and like even though he wasn't in her group.
I have a problem with people who use the race card to try and get their points across, it a proven point that everyone is a little bit racist to a degree but your assumption that she just wanted those two people because of their colour was wrong imo. Don't put labels on people that you wouldn't like to be called yourself. Last edited by tuesday1962; 05-08-2010 at 10:43 AM. |

Had it been Josie, and she wanted 2 white people and the other 4 were black, people would wonder why. Im only asking the question as a concerned freeman of the land. Quote:

To me Rachel hasn't shown or expressed one way or another that she considers herself as black or white and I wouldn't presumed it for her until she has said it herself. I see that you have already posed two of the three questions I would have asked, but here's the third. Is it because Rachel is mixed raced and you have decided to label her as black and naturally assumed that she just wanted them in for their colour? In the pursuit of finding an answer to your question doesn't it prove what I said that we all are a little bit racist. Last edited by tuesday1962; 06-08-2010 at 02:29 AM. |

Maybe she wanted more non whites in the house so that its more mixed in a nice way. Depends what you mean by racist. Here is the dictionary definition, quite remarkable. "the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race , especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or racesprejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on such a belief:" http://oxforddictionaries.com/definition/racism Why is it a bad thing to believe that a race of people have a specific quality.
