I'm sorry, but this is just the usual stuff people say to defend a boring housemate. Brian from BB2, Jon Tickle, Dan from BB5, Lesley from BB8, Luke and Mikey from BB9 and to a lesser extent Ben had an acerbic sense of humour. Nobody needed to defend them from comments about their lack of entertainment value, because it was there for the viewers to see.
I think quite the contrary is true of Dave and Steve. Their sense of humour is middle-aged and bland... or in Andrew and JJ's case, just bland.
