Just a gradual process of disliking the guy; culminating in him posting a Facebook status saying that my parents were bad parents and bad mouthing me to people who I went to school with but didn't know; generally just slandering me, so I stopped talking to him, then one of our friends asked me to be civil to him because it was awkward so I did so; which he took to mean we were friends again, so I ended up going back to being awkward around him which he picked up on... since then; he's made several attempts to try and piss me off into arguing with him so that he has an excuse to talk to me. We first fell out in March 2009... ridiculous. He was on my birthday night out (as it was a joint birthday thing with a friend he's still friends with) and he cornered me when I was drunk, saying 'you've been such an arsehole to me but I'm okay with it so we can be friends now' and I was like >____> whatever.. to get him to go away; he tried to buy me a drink but I disappeared into the crowds on the dance floor.

It's like dude, take the hint, I don't want to be friends with you - but he just won't stop trying and it's just really infuriating to still have to deal with him, every other sane person would just let it go.

Sounds a bit of a Psycho :S. Can't any of your mutual friends have a word with him? or would that still not do anything? And god knows why he'd think you want to be his mate after he disses your parents and stuff. That is why FB annoys me sometimes, when stuff like that happens. Best to keep FB silly, but people use it for all sorts of malicious reasons these days.

Just a bit haha. It's such a nuisance; after receiving his text today I've been looking into the possibility of a restraining order; because I really like my phone number and don't want to change it . They've all tried but apparently talking about me seems to make him think trying to talk to me is a good idea; he texted me the day after my birthday night out going "hey just to remind you we made up/out last night, hope you remember" acting as if we're all chummy and we have jokes and stuff - so I told my friends about it and they were all like :| and then texting me today, just over a week later... I didn't reply to either of those messages. It's just pointless.

Yeah like he had the audacity to have a go at me for not inviting him round to my house to watch some films (when I invited some other friends round) even though I hate him, my parents hate him, and I kept it completely quiet and invited people by text - so he wouldn't hear about it?! Urgh.

Yeah I'm 19. I literally can't get away from him; he's also at Glasgow Uni, everywhere I go he will be nearby... gah. I'm just looking into it at the moment; I've no idea if what he's doing to me is enough grounds for a restraining order but it's certainly harassment IMO, so I'd like something to be done about it; with preferably no further inconvenience to me - such as changing my number.

There are also stalking laws these days. Dunno if what he's doing is classed as that though
