I wonder if the Japanese laugh at themselves as much as we laugh at them. I hope so otherwise we could be a little racist.

Since the racist law was introduced, The Sun stopped calling us Jap. It was all the time until then. (My husband reads it.) I have been living this country long enough to have all sorts of experiences as being non white. Just because The Sun stopped calling name, it does not mean that ordinary people are doing the same. About year ago, some middle age man called me Chinese cxxt when we passed each other on the street. I was quite shocked because he was not a teenager. I expected younger ones would say such things more often than older people. Recently I saw on threads that some members of this TiBB mentioned the words, slit eyes and chink. The racist law does not mean anything. People do use those words in private all the time I think. Then slit eyes are the fact, as we are not really a good looking race after all. One thing I am concerned about at the moment is, I feel gradually more Chinese people are coming to this country. Then white British may resent and we might have more race trouble. |

I am not keen on kung fu itself, but I like this disco sound.
I could dance disco all night with this. (It really happened when I was very young. ha ha) Carl Douglas - Kung fu fighting (original) |

I saw a thread somewhere today "do you love me" I thought it was bettiepage. It reminded me of this song.
