LOL im not tryin to "Rile you up", if that was my aim i'd come in the thread saying Em is ****, which he obviously isnt. And my post have been contributing, the thread is about Em, im talkin about Em and sayin that he fell off hard, and the evidence is his music, his quality of output has gone down hill, and he's grown repetitive which no real fresh idea's. I dont hate Em, he was dope, and he is one of the emcee's that first got me properly in to Hip Hop, but he has fell off and lost his attitude (Which was some of his appeal) - he went from not givin a **** to openly saying that he would loose a battle with either Lil Wayne or Kanye West, plus he was a freestyle/battle king but now his free's aint all that great and he would get ate by alot of battle cats these days.

And he's not even the best artist on his own lable any more, now Slaughterhouse signed, he below 3 of the 4 of them. Like i said, no hate to Em, and im not tryin to rile you up, but Em fell off.

Okay er.......I could care less what "you" or "the real Hip-Hop" people say the proof (no pun intended, well a little) is in the album which you havent listened to much otherwise you'd know he's back, it's the best of his last 3 offerings, if you dont see that theres nothing I can do...

You can't throw the year's biggest party without inviting the artist with the best-selling album of 2010. Especially if that guy happens to be Eminem, whose history with the MTV Video Music Awards is long, legendary and full of the kind of eye-popping moments that make the VMAs the must-TiVo event of the year.

Slim Shady will bless the show's stage on September 12, where he is nominated for eight Moonmen for his smash comeback album Recovery, the best-selling non-country release of the year.

Em joins an already star-packed roster of performers that includes Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Drake, B.o.B, and Florence and the Machine, as well as in-house DJ Deadmau5 and host Chelsea Handler. The list of presenters already includes Ke$ha, Nicki Minaj, Emma Stone, Penn Badgley, Trey Songz, Ashley Greene, Selena Gomez and Ne-Yo.

Over the years, Eminem has given some of the most iconic performances of the modern VMA era, none bigger than 2000's Night of the Living Shadys. During that show, Em began his run through Video of the Year-winning hit "The Real Slim Shady" out on the streets of Manhattan, surrounded by an army of clones dressed exactly like him. The brigade then marched into Radio City Music Hall as Em finished "Shady" and then busted into a visceral "The Way I Am."

Even when he wasn't performing on the show, Eminem — who ranks sixth on the list of all-time VMA winners — has made his presence felt over the years, as he did in 2002 with his infamous run-in with Triumph the Insult Comic Dog.

AUSSIE acts account for more than half of the top 10 performers in this week's albums chart, but none have managed to end Eminem's nine-week stranglehold on number one.

It's a different story on the singles chart, with British musician Taio Cruz finally ending the rapper's six-week reign there.

Australian Idol winner Stan Walker's second album From The Inside Out entered the album chart at number two, but the Aussie star could not budge the veteran rapper to secure outright glory.

Melbourne electro-pop group Miami Horror just made it in at number 10 with their new album Illumination, joining fellow Aussies Bliss N Eso, Angus and Julia Stone, Washington and Birds of Tokyo for a stellar week on the albums chart.

On the singles chart, Eminem's grip on the top spot with his single Love The Way You Lie featuring Rihanna, has ended, with Cruz, who was in Australia recently for a promotional tour, finally bumping him from number one.

Cruz's success has continued around the world, with his new single Dynamite also blasting straight to the top of the UK singles chart on Sunday. In the US, the single has peaked at No 2, where it's being kept from the top spot by Eminem.

Australian country music star Adam Brand just missed out on making the top 10 in the albums chart but smashed the country chart, with his new album It's Gonna Be Ok debuting at number one.

Brand beat country legends The Dixie Chicks, whose compilation album The Essential opened at number three, and fellow Aussie Adam Harvey whose album Best So Far spent its first week at number five on the chart.

According to Access Hollywood, producers for the ceremony believe that the 'Not Afraid' rapper's performance will be the perfect start to Sunday's telecast.

"We thought that there's no better way to kick off the show than [with] a performance from Eminem," said MTV general manager Stephen Friedman.

The musician is nominated for eight trophies for his latest album Recovery.
