Yeah. I can imagine him being one of those people who doesn't like to share his friends. I'm sure it must really galling for him to know that despite his best efforts, Corin, Andrew and Sunshine all still like Ben and are still in touch with him.

100% agree. I would imagine he is very possessive over his friends, who they can mix with and talk to, an emotional nightmare.
