great taste you have

and yeah, I mean Cheryl should be listening to the artists that Rebeccas been compared to and try and pick something more suitable for her voice. She has such a lovely voice but it is a little harder than the likes of Treyc to find the right songs for her

Its the same for Katie....her rendition of we are the champions was awful.... but her version of The Beatles track(?) was a bit better. If Cheryl tries to put her in a modern current pop star style then she will fail.

Not that im bothered much as i just havent warmed to her desperate wannabe act.

100% agree, but that individuality could be what makes her stand out in the long run if handled correctly.

Its what makes Rebecca & Matt my fave two acts as they stand outside of the others on the show IMO.

yep, they're my two favourites but were both let down on Saturday by poor song choices. I think that Matt especially really did the best he could with the song but it was just not right at all for him. And that is worrying when last week they had such a wide scope to chose from, they literally could have picked anything.

I agree, Cheryl knows Rebecca has a great voice really, this was number ones week, think of all the great songs and great peformances there have been in songs getting to number one.

Then Mystic Meg Cheryl dives into her cauldron and brings out a song that really doesn't change in tempo, gives no opportunity to really vocally shine then throws it to one her best and strongest singers as to vocals.

yep, the choices were endless for her last week, Girl put your records on or something like that would have been a good choice for her imo

Ive been thinking this too, she's gonna gain confidence over the next few weeks, I definitely wouldn't rule her out.

Pretty much sums up what I thought too..... she sang an average song well.

My friend knows Rav Singh the showbiz editor and he said he was there for rehearsals last week and go put money on her now...she is a dark horse and when we get to see her sing songs that will really show off her voice she will out class them all...the only two I can see being real competition are Aiden and Matt

I think she could win. I can imagine a 3rd year win for Cheryl Cole.

Katie and Cher are too marmite. Treyc is a bit dull.

Rebecca will do an Alexandra and will have a "pivotal" moment a few weeks into the X Factor.. then she will ride sky high until the final.

I like Rebecca but there are others I think would make better deserving winners.

I agree, last weeks song choice for her was terrible, the hazards for having Cheryl as a mentor I suppose!

Or Wagner!

I wouldn't mind if someone outrageous like DIVA FEVER won. Would be so funny.

I know, she neednt start that bollocks shes already unpopular over Gamugate. Matts song was rubbish aswell, I hope its just a case of saving them for later so its not such a foregone conclusion

No question that in the auditions ,Rebecca was the star act (with maybe Matt and Gamu). She sang that Womack and Womack thing well last week, but it did nothing to make her stand out. Cole CAN'T afford to do that with her again. We saw how Katie was in trouble last week, and remember Lucie from last year? Rebecca now needs a stand-out song/performance to seperate her from the crowd again. My fear is that Cheryl will concentrate more on her two pets than Rebecca.

I don't think I saw Rebecca in the auditions, but it looks like Cheryl must have ******ed up big time last week judging by the support she has on this forum. Rebecca was incredibly anonymous, I would want to see a 100% improvement before she came onto my radar.

Well that was a 100% improvement IMO.

I seriously like her style and she was my top act tonight....i'd buy her album now....even before she has made it.

I dont want them to change her either, as her shyness is endearing and compliments her magnificent voice. Chalk & Cheese but star quality.

After seeing this week's performance of Rebecca's I think there's even more chance of her winning.

I agree and I still think she is a 'slow burner' here. She can top that again and again (enough to keep getting through) and end up at her peak just in time for the end.

Also one of the best looking women for whatever that is worth. Probably a lot since its not the kind of prettiness that infuriates other women to vote her out but a real natural welcoming beauty.

good for her this week - she did great!

I think her performance this week was extremely good, I also like the no frills approach and her style of delivery of the song.
I chose her as my favourite before the finals began, I stuck with her last week despite the song because I know she has a useless mentor in Cheryl.

I still think Treyc and Aiden have loads to offer and the winner could be between them but also Matt was amazing last night too.

So confused am I that I will still stick with Rebecca as the one I'd like to win because I love her voice and also love the perfect performance she gave last night too,not overdone but very effective.
