Default is the XFactor/GBP homophobic?

ok, so we had the gay dancers FYD & Nicolo last week and now we had Storm (who just came out) and Diva Fever getting the boot...
coincidence or what?

No, because Joe won and he was clearly gay from audition 1

FYD werent for a gay market, and I didn't really associate them with being gay, same for Nicolo

And Diva Fever were just rubbish

It is probably not a coincidence but of course it has nothing to do with 'phobia' either.
Things come and go in fads and people get 'fed up' and then they want something else.
The feminine campy gay thing had a good run and for a little while even became something 'mainstream' and popular all over.
OK.
No problem.
Now that's getting tired. Maybe IF someone has new angles but if all you got is some semi-metrosexual home-made outfit and make bitchy faces while prancing out 'YMCA'?
Sorry but we saw that 100 times now and thats enough.

So yeah, I think in a way the 'flamboyant gay' thing is now going to fade away for a while.
Maybe the new thing seems to be handsome 'everyman' single young heterosexual men,
or,
Maybe the new sort of thing (all over again) will be the Marys and big matronly power-mother voices and looks and 'in thing' now.

Maybe ultra-heterosexual 'latin lovers' like Wagner (and Roger Moores 'bond'?) but these will be back in style and the big new celebrated look and attitude?

But yes, I do think people are tiring of the gay thing and more specifically the campy/flamboyant saucy gays.

Hey.. they had a good run!
Don't worry... if you live long enough that will come back in style all over again!

It didn't seem to do Paije or One Direction any harm.

Yes, the popularity of the openly or more obviously flamboyant ones was something of a trend, popular fad and even something 'sympathetic' and for that matter even a way to get 'political votes',
but,
I think that might have peaked and though it is not necessarily held against a contestant - i don't think its a bonus anymore.

..and I would say IF a contestant wants to push it (as if to get some extra attention for it) they may now even see fans turn against them quite easily.

I see this in the US too. Just recently watching AGT and people had big love for 'Prince Poppycock' when he was just a regular guy,
but,
when he got a little carried away being 'flamboyant sarcastic queen' and squealing.. hmmm?
I think he lost a lot of interest or at the very least it was no longer getting him bonus 'sharon osbourne' extra gay points.

I never did determine whether Storm was a gay or just sort of doing a 'glam rock' sort of freddy mercuryish thing?

In fairness, I don't think he was ever trying to exaggerate or flaunt any sort of flamboyant gayness and its safe to say he was gone because he is just.. well.. not a good singer. Gay or not having no consequence here.

Likewise, Diva Fever (no matter the campy gay thing) were not that great. Kinda funny for a show or two... but not really good singers or dancers.

Well the one in the middle of your sig photo of course and I'm going to take a guess that the girl named 'Cohen' is quite probably Jewish.

I'm guessing both the featured choreography guys are Jews. Not sure about judges (well Sharon if you count her).

yeah, not sure who are Jews but I'd like to know so I can keep my prediction streak going here.
(I did call Waisselstein would go through and early on AND I picked Cohen (early) just based on her last name).

I ALSO predicted any flamboyant gays would NOT do well.. although Diva Fever did get further than most so.. Im doing good overall here.

Also Will Young won the first reality contest, he's gay. It's nothing to do with sexuality, it's because they were probably ****e.

God A black is kicked off the Xfactor! we are racist!
Now Diva Fever are kicked out because they cant sing and we are Homophobic!

By this logic for britain to come off well a gay mixed race x 20 guy (sorry hermaphrodite so we aren't sexist) with a background in every religion in the world should win!

Anyways, all I'm saying is my streak has been overall quite good by using 'racial profiling'.

btw.. there is nothing more predictable and annoying than the 'American Idol' where inevitably the black girls get voted out and yet everyone knows they were AT LEAST as good if not better than the remaining ones lol

You can see clips where Simon is just annoyed beyond and so sick of it heh.

The 3 acts you mentioned were awful. People need to stop looking into things that don't exist. They deserved to be eliminated.

bearing in mind only 1.5% of the UK is gay and most of them work in tv I am amazed we are not more homophobic.

but there is a distinction between feeling no malice to a person who prefers to have same sex sex and disliking men who are very camp or girls who look like builders on steroids.

That statistic is a massive crock of sh!t, tbh. I'd say about a good 18% are not straight.
