Rooney doesn't care if Man City are Utd's biggest rivals, he'll still sign for them if he wanted to. When he was growing up he almost certainly despised Man Utd, yet when they came offering he left the team he'd supported all of his life to sign for them. So why wouldn't he do the same again, for one he isn't a Man Utd fan, City will offer more money, and City are higher in the league at the minute.

I really hope he goes to a foreign side because I don't like playing against him, and City would be unstoppable if they signed him. Chelsea having Drogba and Rooney as their partnership with Anelka and Malouda just off them would destroy anyone. And I don't think anyone else in the premiership would sign him. So hopefully Real, Barcelona, or Inter come in with an offer.

Man City have got a HUGE squad of quality players. A player of David Silva's quality can barely get a game. They're gonna struggle to keep them all happy but I think they'll always get good results.

In all fairness I don't think money has anything to do with it - United are in demise.

Do you actually have anything to say or are you just gonna take the p*ss? Say something, state an opinion then watch us all tear the sh*t out of it.

Bale is a machine, we'll have to contain him on Saturday.

Had to lol at them being 4-0 after 35 minutes though

Man Utd lucky to win by the sounds of it although I didn't see any of that game.

On the balance of play we were the better team and should have scored more than the one goal, they had a few chances but that was it and United were dominant throughout the game.

Fergie got important meeting with David Gill in the morning to discuss what to do next with the Rooney issue, as he doesn't want the saga to keep dragging on...

Inter 4-3 Gareth Bale.

I agree with other posters, Man United are on the decline, their dominance is finally ending. The Glazers have put the club in 800 million pounds of debt.

I stand corrected then Reggie Just my mate who is an Man U fan said she was gutted after watching it because you were pretty bad

Get him sold, he's said he doesn't want to stay now officially so cash in on him quick before it causes too much more drama. I'd keep the ungrateful ***** on the bench until January and then boot him out the door.

You guys will be getting some cash if he's sold so let the bidding war commence. The performance was frustrating but better than the ones previously which is a positive to take from it...

Hernandez is showing lots of promise Nate indeed.

Nah, they played badly against a useless team. Look like a team that are punch drunk since all of the press exposure the club has received since the whole Rooney thing started.

I know recent events for United on and off the pitch have been very distracting and it has peed me off but if I don't show a bit of positivity that there is light at the end of the tunnel then i'll go madder then I already am.

Aston Villa were at the College I go to the other day and missed the chance to get some tickets to the Chelsea game.

Yep that's why I'm hoping he goes to City for silly money because we get 25% of any profit you make above the Ł25 million you paid us for him

That would give us a nice amount to go and buy a new striker

Edit: Keep the faith Reggie! I know all about finding it hard sometimes with being an Everton supporter It's all part of the fun though.

Oh yes one you're desperately in need of. I can be negative when it's needed but love to be upbeat.

You guys need to be more consistent against teams like Blackburn etc if more points are going to be picked up because there has been losses in those games, sometimes the Toffees might not have played well and deserved to lose but they're just as important as games against the bigger teams.

Yeah defo. Looks like the Yak is coming back into form, he just needs to start scoring now, he was a beast against Liverpool on Sunday But with Beckford unproven and Saha so injury prone, Ł15million or so would come in very handy for the January transfer window Thank you very much Rooney you gob****e

Yeah again agreed, we didn't play badly the first few games, just couldn't find the back of the net, but now we are scoring I hope the wins and clean sheets will keep coming. Spurs on Saturday should be interesting, we've got Arteta, Pienaar, Jags, Osman and Heitinga all doubtful eeeeeeek.

Apparently, no matter what the result of their Europa game tonight, Roy Hodgson has been told he must resign as Liverpool manager. Frank Rijkaard is reportedly going to be announced as their new manager tomorrow.

I remember saying that it was a mistake for Woy to take the job and that he would regret it. Feel really sorry for the guy actually, he's a good manager, it just doesn't seem to be working out for him there.

Two Liverpool fans in hospital after being stabbed in Naples Those Italians are proper *****s and the police don't help either over there.

"Two Liverpool fans were being treated for stab wounds today after violence before their team's Europa League tie in Naples.

Merseyside police said six Liverpool fans in total were attacked in the Italian city ahead of the team's game tonight against Napoli FC.

Naples police said the victims included a family of four — a mother, father and sons. The fans taken to hospital are 27 and 53. Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening. Three local men were arrested.

The attack happened shortly after 4am when the family, from Bedfordshire, were followed from a bar in the Piazza Garibaldi in the city centre. A group of between 20 and 30 men assaulted them as they walked back to their hotel. There were at least three attacks last night and police said all were linked to Napoli's hardcore Ultra fans.

Weapons including a baseball bat, three four-foot aluminium bars and a five-foot long piece of wood were recovered from the home of one of the arrested men. All three of the men being held have criminal records and one has been convicted of football-related violence and is banned from Napoli's Stadio San Paolo."

Feel sorry for Hodgson but I could never understand why he chose to move to the club in the first place.

Hodgson needs to be at a mid-table side, our expectations are too high for him.

Carragher off injured, never thought I'd say this but it could turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

And David Ngog vs Cannavaro, Ngog's going to score tonight and prove himself as a top class striker

Surely Frank Right-Guard isnt the answer. Give Roy some time. The man has managed Inter Milan and turned then around.

The trouble is the fans didn't want him, the players didn't either and they've had the worst start to the season for something like 57 years? Feel terribly sorry for him and it doesn't reflect on his skills as a manager at all, was just wrong time and wrong club for him.

Who did the fans and players want? I bet they wanted someone of the stature of Mourinho didnt they?. Liverpool fans are so deluded.
