Dippy Stacey Solomon may be I’m A Celebrity’s dimmest ever contestant after asking to take home a pet crocodile.

The X Factor star was being briefed about what faces her in the Aussie jungle when she made the request.

At first, the programme’s producers thought she was making a joke – and were horrified when they realised she was deadly serious.

Now they say they can’t get the dizzy blonde to understand how dangerous the beasts actually are.

One insider said: “We’ve had a few contestants who’ve been a sandwich short of a picnic, but the whole lunch box is absent here.

“We think viewers are going to find her hilarious.”

Essex girl Stacey, 21, revealed her lack of wildlife knowledge during a meeting with ITV’s animal experts.

She was also told she will face poisonous snakes and spiders.

And when they told her she could be voted to do a Bushtucker Trial swimming with crocs, her reaction was to giggle.

Stacey the told them: “I want a croc as a pet. Maybe a baby crocodile.

“Have you seen them? They’re really really cute. I want one. Even though they can be a bit snappy – who cares?”

Dozey Stacey also admitted she might put her foot in it with the other jungle campers because she often speaks before she thinks.

She told bosses: “I always say horrible things in front of people.

“I’m the sort of person of who will say: ‘I hate silver pearls,’ and there will be a person right next to me with silver pearls. I put my foot in it a lot.”

The babe is not the first reality star to shock TV bosses and viewers with their clueless antics.

In almost every big show on the telly there is always one wannabe who is not the sharpest tool in the box.

The most famous is tragic Big Brother star Jade Goody who charmed the nation with her stupid comments.

She didn’t know what a verruca was, called her “bits” her “kebab” and thought East Anglia was abroad.

Other stars tipped to join Stacey in the jungle are athlete Linford Christie, 50, actress Britt Ekland, 68, former MP Lembit Opik, 45, TV presenter Gail Porter, 39, and actor Nigel Havers, 59.

She is going to be TV GOLD
