A few theories Pats. But since you are my Brain and I am yours, you know the answer - also: less time is spent acknowledging and promoting their favourites, in lieu of slagging off people who don't agree - I've never quite understood that. If I was a huge fan of Katie or Cher, I'd be enthusing about why I was a fan, what I saw in them, how their singing affected me, how i felt their performances were, how well they interacted or not with the audience.
