i'm not sure if Britain has any primary system or not, but eigther way, it should be clear that you are voting for a REPRESENTATIVE, it's an actual person! It's not just a gimme vote on any given issue, it's an ACTUAL PERSON, doing a job.

That is all well and good, but lets just say you were a democrat, they offer you three candidates in the run up to the primaries, you prefer candidate C, however candidate A gets the nomination, do you then not vote for him later in the election process?
