no im sorry but I really dont understand this. How they going to decide who comes fourth etc if they gonna sing the winners single(which we cant call it that now obviously) wont they all have to be in til the end?! Oh and the video is usually showing the journey of the winner. Finishing with a clip of them winning. So say cher if she comes 4th her video is in the charts its shows her journey finishing fourth?! Oh and top of the pops christmas special. They all gonna be on there? Or just the number one single? Which may or may not be the winner. Bit daft if the winner gets beaten to number one by another act. No point voting for a winner then. No hate hate hate this idea I hope its wrong. Simon finish this series with the speck of dignity you have and only have the winner being able to have a physical release and the others just downloadable like all the other performances this year. Which may actually be the real case. Can someone tell me whether im making a valid point here?

It seems a rather crazy idea to me but nothing would surprise me anymore with this years X Factor.
However the deal is that one act gats a contract worth soemthing like a million pounds,so it would then be sheer madness to 'create' competiton as to the success of that acts first single in particular by having all the finalists release a recording too at the same time. That's not the way Simon Cowell works, usually, however as its very clear that the act most likely to lose this year is Cher and so much has been done to ensure despite the public she got to the final, then this may be another rediculous compromise to keep happy Ms Cole for her 'very special' act. |
