I'm not usually one to believe stuff like that, but many have alluded to a fake person that isn't who they seem and I reckon it's Matt, even in that official X Factor Magazine he's revealed that he's attacked other contestants in the press so he's no angel himself, just a very desperate contestant who'll do anything to win.

Personally, I'd say (and especially at these latter stages), very few of the contestants will be busom buddies: it's a cut throat business they are trying to get into, and I very much doubt many of those left have any real love lost for each other -they are all looking out for number one - themselves. That's the way it goes. That's showbiz.

In fairness to most of the contestants though they haven't gone to the press to attack other people, Matt has. It's more of a representation of his personality rather then anyone else's.

Perhaps Matt had very good reason. People don't often do things for no real reason, just for the sheer hell of going to the press. Often they are put into a position that to remain silent, is simply untenable.

I think it's more likely he's desperate to win and wanted to sabotage the rest of them, like you yourself said it's cut throat.

And I don't, therein lies the difference of opinion.

Matt may be goal orientated but he does not come across as malicious. As I say, I suspect it's a case of he was put into a situation whereby he felt he had to clear the muddied waters.

I remember 'someone' said he was annoyed that Katie had said they were having a fling,can you blame him?she was lying,and i do think that anything in the press should be taken with a pinch of salt(they have their faves too)Simon himself said he had got to know Matt and that he was a very genuine SINCERE guy,maybe with Matt,what you see is what you get,no pretence with Matt,seems the press are only true if the story is derogotary about someone people don't like.Lots of people have said Matt is a nice guy,of course people wont believe that if they don't like him,they want to reinforce anything bad.

Precisely my point earlier Kazanne - I suspect he was very much in the position of having to speak and to defend himself - to put halt to gossip and rumour mongering.

I think he's looking for the sympathy vote, I have Tonsilitis a lot pretty much once a year if I'm lucky and more if I'm not. I can barely move when I get it and it takes weeks for me to feel 100% again, he might have been ill last week but it wasn't tonsilitis, you can't sing like that with it, I can barely stand and can't talk at all when I've got it. I reckon he might have had a cold and was trying to look for sympathy at best.

I'm talking about the times when he's gone to that X Magazine and called the others *****s for acting like Divas. It's very unprofessional, At least Rebecca has the decency to rise above it all.
