2 days after a best before date and I bin stuff the day before its 'use by' date. I'm really fussy

If a product is labelled "use by" then I would take that seriously. Although there is probably a safety margin within the date specified I would not risk it........
If it's simply "best before" Then no problem as all that may be affected is its flavour or nutriment value rather than a health risk from food poisoning |
