...let's be honest the true winner of that night was rebecca. her voice is exceptional I was only rooting for matt because I hate cheryl and I wanted lovely dannii to win. Now comeon simon take rebecca to america where she can really excell and win a grammy. I saw a performance of erykah badu at the soul train awards and thought mm in some bits she sounds like rebecca Gwan rebecca.

I half agree with you, I think on their first song Rebecca was fantastic and that round definitely went to her, second round though Matt won by a mile, I adore Rebecca and her voice but I hated her winners song. I reckon she'll do very well out of this anyway, her voice is so beautiful and unique

I was listening to Damien Rice earlier this morning. That's a bit Matt-esque. Matt sounds a lot like fran healy from erm travis don't yall think? Last edited by Ithinkiloveyoutoo; 13-12-2010 at 02:08 PM. |

I think it worked out best for both of them, the result. Rebecca not winning will enable her to have a more credible career with such a unique and amazing voice, whereas Matt will have a better career perfomance-wise and handle the X branded on his arse much better.
I was torn between the two, but I do believe the right outcome happened.

Matt showed in his winner's song he was superior to Rebecca.
That said, Rebecca is fantastic also. Why do you hate Cheryl also? Hate is a strong word, and most of the reasons behind people's decisions to hate Cheryl have been simply ridiculous. |

Truth hurts.

There were two winners this year. Three really - although boybands don't interest me.
But Matt and Rebecca are real musicians. I liked Cher and Katie too. The line up was the strongest I've known it. Only Mary, Storm and Wagner spoilt it. |

[QUOTE=Ryan57;4009484]Matt showed in his winner's song he was superior to Rebecca.
Why's that then? I think his song is flat and just meanders along..... |
