It’s so easy to mock Lady Sov’s lack of success in the States hey.

Awww....are we pulling on the old 'shes had a hard life' sob story as an excuse for not being successful in the States (not that she had any real big success in the UK either for that matter).
A hell of a lot of people have very hard lives, with very troubled, difficult times and much trauma - with or without depression and with or without suicide attempts - Having a sob story doesn't make a person talented - and that includes Sov. Sad? Of course it is. Affected her success - debatable - talent is either there or it isn't. I favour the latter.
However, the thread has digressed a little only on the premise that there was comparison to Sov who Jay Z had signed and had very limited success with - and, from what I read from Patsy's posts, Pasty was offering her thoughts that she felt that Cher signing with Jay Z did not guarantee Cher any success - Sov being used as an example.
Talent has to be the overriding factor at some stage and she has very limited talent -Cher (but feel free to throw Sov into that same bracket, it's all the same to me). I'm sure you won't agree, but hey: that's my opinion on the matter.
