I'm moving to Germany this year... to work as a classroom assistant teaching English, I'm not looking forward to it but I'm sure it'll be fine once I'm there. I think that sums up my views towards emigrating, I don't know if I'd want to do it but I could cope with it if I did.

tell us all the dirt on france.
I don't dislike France, I just don't fit there even though I don't like a lot of stuff. I think it's a nice country...but for holidays.

I like the UK because I'm attracted to the way people think, they way they live their lives. I love the country in itself on a geographical aspect, it has nice features and places. Don't get me wrong, France is great too but it's not the type of beauty I like. It's the overall way of living that appeals to me. I can't describe the feeling I have when I land in London or Bristol.

I can understand what you mean. I grew up in washington DC, and i love washinton, but i only like it in smal doses. i moved to California when i turned 18, and it feels like home. I'd never go back to the east coast to live, but i always miss it, and love going back when i can, so i understand.

Everyone fits certain cities and cultures differently.

I love that living in the US i can travel to so many different cities freely, no hassle. and i think that's the great thing about the EU, although a lot of politics in the EU sucks, the one great thing about it, is that it it gives europeans the opportunity to travel around yur sub-continent freely and find the place that you feel most at home.
