Tbh I don't actually believe it was just over that storyline, there were rumours before that she would quit once her current contract was over because it's obvious that playing Ronnie is exhausting and think she wants to spend more time with family, do other roles etc.

It's safe for Maggie O'Neill to come back now as Suzy because her and Sam had a big bust up and disliked each other.
